Jones was among the best hurdlers in her age group at the time she entered college. She was the winner of the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Track & Field Championship. Also, she participated on the team that finished second in the 100-meter relay. Jones won the NCAA Indoor Hurdles contest in 2003 and the 2004. Jones is training since 2005 when she graduated from her college studies. She was the winner of two events, in the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track races in the same year.
Brandt was raised and born in Cape Town in South African. Her family moved to Auckland New Zealand with her family when she was in her teens. Brandt was discovered by local casting agents she was offered the leading character of Naevia in the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena.
