Samantha Mohr
Mohr was Mohr was a UGA student. She entered her first pageant following being suggested by a friend. The contest was named Miss Columbus 1985. In the wake of this victory, she qualified for an entry into the Miss Georgia pageant which was scheduled for June 1985. Mohr claimed the crown on Saturday, June 22 the 22nd of June, 1985. Mohr took home more than $3500 in scholarships and other prizes at the national pageant. Her activities as Miss Georgia included appearances in public locations across Georgia. Mohr, Georgia's representative, was at Miss America 1986, Atlantic City, New Jersey in September 1985. Mohr was a one-in-one chance for winning the Miss America title. Computer modelling proved to be successful in forecasting Susan Akin's triumph. Mohr didn't make the cut as a top-10 contender for the crown of Miss America. Mohr's time in the role of Miss Georgia lasted until she succeeded her successor Marlesa Ball, as Miss Georgia 1986 on June 28 on June 28, 1986.
